First Line Fridays: Time Traveler’s Wife

31 Jul

I know I keep posting about TTW, but the book is so long that it keeps being appropriate. Today’s First Line Friday comes from TTW, and it’s a great one. Usually First Line Fridays are just one sentence but the first paragraph in this one is great (don’t worry it’s only three sentences!):

CLARE: It’s hard being left behind. I wait for Henry, not knowing where he is, wondering if he’s okay. It’s hard to be the one who stays.

What’s the attention grabbing first line of your current read? Share in the comments! Or better yet, post this on your blog and let me know!
